Taco Charlton Enjoyed Michigan

2013 Pickerington (Ohio) Central defensive end Taco Charlton didn't grow up a fan of Michigan. In fact, he preferred their most-hated rival as a youngster. Thanks to his affinity for Ohio State, however, he got plenty of opportunities to see Michigan in action on TV - even if he wasn't rooting for the Wolverines. On Saturday, he got the chance to witness a game up close and personal in the Big House.

Though the 6-6, 240-pound defensive lineman didn't grow up with a taste for Michigan, his attitude toward the team is changing now that he has started going through the recruiting process. Former teammate Tamani Carter is a freshman defensive back for the Wolverines, and encouraged Charlton to check them out.

Once he arrived in Ann Arbor, he immediately had the opportunity to talk with some of Michigan's coaches. Charlton enjoyed his time with Michigan's coaches, but he isn't sure if they're quite ready to pull the trigger on an offer.

Despite the lack of an offer, the Wolverines moved up his list. He even had a chance to talk to a number of other junior prospects from the Buckeye State during the visit, including Columbus Bishop Harrtley tight end Jake Matuska, Trotwood-Madison defensive back Cameron Burrows, and Toledo St. John's quarterback Brogan Roback.
