O'Neal down to three

EagleAction.com Lithia (Fla.) Newsome defensive tackle Conor O'Neal may not be rated as highly as some of the other prospects still on the minds of college coaches but his offer list is nothing to scoff at. He has narrowed things down to three and Boston College is still in the mix. What kind of shot do the Eagles have?
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive tackle has picked up offers from Boston College, Michigan State, NC State, Wisconsin, Buffalo and Georgia Southern over the course of the recruiting process.
After a lot of thought and deliberation with those close to him, O'Neal has narrowed things down to three.
"It's pretty much Wisconsin, NC State and Boston College for me right now," O'Neal said. "Not too much new has been going on. I've already been to Wisconsin and I'm only going to (visit) NC State and Boston College now."
O'Neal will take an official visit to NC State on January 9 and then to Boston College on January 16.
It has been almost a month since he took his first official of the year to Wisconsin. What does he think about the Badgers in hindsight?
"It went very well. I got up there and they just showed me the program," he explained. "They basically walked me through what a freshman year there would be like and showed me around. I really like the coaches and how they do things.
"I wouldn't know how to rate it because it's the only visit I've taken. After I visit the others I could do that."
While his visit to Boston College is not until next weekend O'Neal is already excited. That's because the coaches have kept in great contact with him and have him highly interested in what life is like at BC.
"Actually coach (Ryan) Day called me (Monday) and talked about the coaching situation," he said. "He told me that if anything happens with the head coach that would be the only change. Everything else would stay the same."
O'Neal declined to rate any one of his three finalists above the others until he takes all three visits.
