Cal wins in OT again, 84-80

Backing up arguably their biggest win of the season wasn't going to be easy for the California Golden Bears (14-12, 6-8 in the Pac-10). Facing an Oregon State (10-18, 2-13 in the Pac-10) team that stunned them at home a year ago, the Bears gutted out their third overtime win of the season, 84-80, at Haas Pavilion. Cal freshman wing Patrick Christopher had a career night, pouring in 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Despite the fact that the Beavers had only knocked off just one other Pac-10 team all season, the Bears knew they'd have themselves a dogfight from the get go. As BearTerritory stated in our Oregon State-Cal Preview, the Beavers have a number of talented juniors, plus sophomore shooting-wing Jack McGillis who continues to impress.
