MSU commits: Chmura shows great grasp
This is the latest in a SpartanMag.com series profiling the latest on Michigan State's 2013 verbal commitments, with insight from the commitments' high school coaches:
Dylan Chmura is exited about coming to Michigan State. And there are plenty of reasons for Michigan State to be excited about signing the 6-foot-6, 235-pound tight end from Waukesha West High School in Wisconsin.
"He's a tremendous athlete," said his coach, Steve Rux. "He's got great height. He has fairly soft hands and rarely drops a pass. He has good speed and is a good blocker on the line of scrimmage. He's a physical blocker and a very smart player.
"He was able to grasp a lot of things we're trying to do in our offense. He has a good football mind. He has a football background with his father (Mark Chmura) having played for the Packers. He's been around the game. Everything we've tried to instill in him, he was able to grasp."
