On Thursday night, CBS Sports.com reported that Oregon State head coach Mike Riley was "set to interview" with Wisconsin representatives for their open head coaching position.

After a night of speculation on Wisconsin's potential interest in Riley, the coach met with the media after practice on Friday to downplay any thought of him leaving.

"All I've got is a phone call knowing there's some interest," said Riley. "I've not talked to anyone at the University of Wisconsin. I do know through a second source that there might be some interest. I think it is good that there might be some interest, it happens when a staff is having some success."
