HD: Sooner in-state offer Dominique Alexander
PONCA CITY, Okla. - If there was any question why Oklahoma offered current Arkansas commit Dominique Alexander.
Those questions were answered Thursday night by the Booker T. Washington athlete even though his Hornets comeback bid fell short falling to Ponca City 26-23.
OU offer: Dominique Alexander
Committed to Arkansas since June 19 the Sooner State's current No. 4 ranked prospect picked up the Oklahoma offer Tuesday.
"My dad and coach told me that when they were on the phone with Oklahoma that they were saying they loved the way I'm playing and my tape," said Alexander in an interview with SoonerScoop.com's Josh McCuistion adding the Sooners to the likes of Kansas State, Oregon State, and Texas Tech.
While Alexander remains committed to Arkansas he did confirm that he will be amongst the swarm of prospects that take in next weekend's Oklahoma-Notre Dame showdown in Norman.
Alexander is the fifth in-state prospect Oklahoma has offered in the class of 2013 joining Tulsa Union Dalton Rodriguez, Jenks Jordan Smallwood, East Central Stanvon Taylor, and Southmoore D.J. Ward all of who are currently committed to the Sooners.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Sooner State product is currently the No. 33 ranked athlete in the country.
