Hawkeyes first to offer Wisconsin native
This past weekend, Wisconsin native Jordan Fredrick made his first camp stop at Iowa as he sets out to hopefully earn scholarship offers to play college football this summer. So far, so good, as the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Fredrick received positive feedback from the Iowa coaching staff, who followed up with an offer today.
The Hawkeyes are the first team to offer Fredrick, who played linebacker at their one-day camp on Saturday. It is a relatively new position for the junior, who earned first team all-state honors as a defensive back last season, but one he feels he adjusted to pretty well.
Now, the question is who else will offer? Fredrick has upcoming camp dates at Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan State, among others.
